I am a San Francisco therapist providing affordable psychotherapy and counseling for individuals and couples. I've helped my clients to address relationship challenges, career issues, depression, anxiety, hopelessness and the effects of recent and past trauma.
Among others, I work with individuals facing tough life transitions, developing self acceptance as well as growth, grappling with questions about identity and purpose, suffering grief or loss, struggling in relationships. In our first session we will talk about what brings you to therapy, and together develop a plan that directly addresses your needs.
My style is informal, warm, non-judgemental and growth oriented. I see therapy as an interactive, collaborative process where we can safely explore our own experiences, feelings and motives, heal from past trauma, and develop more effective ways of coping with and responding to difficult feelings, situations and people.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) is a growing aspect of my practice, helping individuals to process and recover from recent and past traumatic experiences. EMDR is now widely used in the treatment of many common responses to both "minor" and "major" traumatic life experiences and memories.
